Advertising disclosure

Trowelly is free to use. We plan to cover running costs with advertising and, where useful, affiliate links to tools and materials.

Today

The site currently shows no advertising and contains no affiliate links. No company has paid to be mentioned.

Calculator pages include a “Where to buy” box. Its links search each store’s website for the materials in your result. We chose the stores because they sell those materials across the US; they are plain links, and no store has paid to appear or to be listed first.

If that changes

• Ads will be clearly separated from calculators and results, and labelled as advertising.
• Affiliate links will be marked, and this page will list the programs we take part in. As an example, a retailer may pay us a small commission if you buy after clicking a link, at no extra cost to you.
• Payments never change how a calculator works or the quantities it gives.
• We will update the privacy policy before adding anything that uses cookies, and ask for consent where required.
